HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A man fatally shot his father-in-law Wednesday and wounded his wife and mother-in-law before Oakland County officers arrived and killed him, authorities said. Deputies 'rushed towards the gunfire' and saved lives, Sheriff Mike Bouchard said. 'I'm very proud every day of what they do, but today puts an exclamation point on it,' he said. Three children in the home were not hurt. The 42-year-old gunman's wife had moved out of the couple's home in Dearborn Heights and was living with her parents in Highland Township, Bouchard said.
